Éala began with a love for cosmetics that has been with me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always making rose petal perfumes and creating my own little lotions and potions. I never imagined then that this childhood fascination would one day lead me to creating my own skincare brand.
My Nanny has been a huge influence on my journey. She has always had a love for creams, balms and cosmetics, and that passion certainly rubbed off on me. Over the years, I began making creams and balms at home for myself and my family, while developing a growing interest in natural oils and ingredients. This is where the idea for Éala began — a simple, natural face balm for both men and women.
As I became more aware of what I was putting on my skin, I found myself drawn towards simpler formulations and carefully chosen ingredients. I had used Éala's four key ingredients individually over the years and loved incorporating them into my own skincare routine, so I wanted to bring them together in one beautiful balm.
As my passion grew, I decided to take the next step and develop Éala professionally. I completed the Making Natural Cosmetics and Ointments course at OBUS Academy, which gave me the knowledge and confidence to take my little idea and turn it into something real.
I always imagined my brand having an Irish name — something simple, beautiful and meaningful. Éala means “swan” in Irish, and the swan represents grace, beauty, peace, elegance and calm strength. To me, it felt like the perfect reflection of what I wanted Éala to be.
From a childhood love of making little lotions and potions, Éala was born.
Simple. Natural. Made with care.
